Being a ‘good neighbour’

Changing the tenant or who lives in the property

  • You have the right to ask us if you can:
    • change from a single to a joint tenancy
    • assign the tenancy (pass it to someone living with you)
    • exchange your home with another Almond tenant or the tenant of another landlord
    • take in a lodger or sub-let your home
  • You need our permission to do any of these things. Please speak to your Housing Officer.
  • If anyone living with you leaves, or someone new comes to live with you, you should tell us.
  • If you die, someone living with you may be able to inherit your tenancy if they meet some conditions – they should contact us.

Keeping you informed

  • You can ask for information about your tenancy and about our policies that affect you.
