Home Owners Support FundIf you are at risk of losing your home, the Home Owners Support Fund allows a Housing Association or Local Authority to buy your home and for you to continue to live there as a tenant.

Are you in danger of losing your home? The Home Owners Support Fund, commonly known as Mortgage to Rent, can be a helping hand.

The Home Owners Support Fund helps homeowners avoid losing their home by allowing the Local Council or Housing Association buy the property and rent it back to the former owner.

Almond Housing Association takes part in the scheme for two reasons:

  • We support the aim of the scheme which is to prevent homelessness in the community
  • It allows the Association to add to its stock, creating more social housing for those in need and increasing the numbers of social housing available. This has benefits for all current and future tenants.
