Our Reactive Repairs Contractor is changing

Almond Housing Association (AHA) carries out over 10,000 reactive repairs per year, alongside our planned investment to ensure homes are maintained to a high standard.

Under procurement regulations we must retender our contracts on a regular basis and tender submissions are assessed based on quality and price to ensure a high standard of service is provided.

Response Building Maintenance Services (Scotland) Ltd has carried out this service for AHA for a number of years but from 01 April 2026 Bell Group will be working with us to deliver reactive repairs across all areas. Some of the operatives will move from Response to Bell so you may recognise them.

All repairs raised from Wednesday 01 April 2026 will be completed by Bell Group. The tradesperson will provide ID and be wearing Bell branded clothing. In the first couple of days, only emergency repairs will be carried out to allow the operatives to receive training with their new employer. We appreciate your patience during this time and apologise for any delays that may occur throughout the transition period.

One of the benefits of this new contract is that Bell can provide updates and reminders about your repair by text. If you would like to update your mobile number, please contact us using the details above.

The methods for reporting a repair will not change. Please continue to phone 01506 439291 or complete the form on our website. In an emergency when our office is closed, please phone 01506 439291 and select the most appropriate option. Please note, all repairs already reported will be managed throughout the transition and you do not need to report them again.

The new contract will be monitored closely to ensure a high level of service is provided and that we see improved communication and updates for customers in relation to repairs.

If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
