Winter Checks

It’s that time of year again – with winter approaching and the temperature dropping, we’re commencing this year’s winter checks programme. This year, we will be carrying out these checks in all households where the tenant(s) are aged 70 years or over.AEL Winter Checks

These checks include the following:

  • Stopcock identification
  • Checking your property is secure
  • Any outstanding repairs
  • Any tripping hazards on access paths

The checks are undertaken by Almond Enterprises Ltd (AEL) and they will be in touch with all qualifying tenants over the next few months to arrange a suitable time to attend.

Even if you do not qualify for a winter check we would urge you to get your house winter ready by conducting the same checks yourself and advising us of any concerns you might have.
